Worcester monument at Brainerd Mission cemetery Worcester monument in the Brainerd Mission cemetery in Chattanooga. Reverend Samuel Worcester (1770-1821), corresponding secretary of the Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions visited Brainerd and died there in 1821. The monument remains, but Reverend Worcester's remains were moved to Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem, Massachusetts in 1844. Mounted with 00002963.

Worcester monument at Brainerd Mission Monument to Samuel Worcester (1770-1821), Corresponding Secretary, Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Reverend Worcester died while visiting Brainerd Mission, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Worcester's remains were moved to Harmony Grove cemetery in Salem, Massachusetts in 1844. Caption under photograph erroneously refers to Reverend Worcester as Head of the Mission. Photograph from one volume of eight scrapbooks compiled by E. Y. Chapin, Walter Cline, and Frank F. Stoops of the Chattanooga Half Century Club.

Woodmore Methodist Church Methodist church located at 1321 N. Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee from 1955-1996. Education building added 1960. Merges with Trinity Methodist to become Trinity-Woodmore Methodist Church 1964. New sanctuary constructed 1965-1966. Congregation moved to Christ United Methodist Church at 8845 E. Brainerd Road in 1996. Currently (as of 2001) New Covenant Fellowship Church.

Woodmore Elementary School Woodmore Elementary school located at 800 Woodmore Lane, Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was founded in 1954 and an addition was added in 1989. Published in Chattanooga Yesterday and Today, vol. 2, p. 150. Tear on upper right portion of photograph. Stamp on verso reads: "Jimmy's Photo Shop, Lafayette Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Phone 84-4591."
