- World War II memorial on Patten Parkway in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The memorial opened officially on February 22, 1950 when the bronze tablet was unveiled by the mother of Joseph Whitehead, the first person from Hamilton County to die in World War II. The globe and eagle were added July 28, 1950. Photograph from one volume of eight scrapbooks compiled by E. Y. Chapin, Walter Cline, and Frank F. Stoops of the Chattanooga Half Century Club.
