- Images are: 1. Rocky bluff and mountainside 2. Ruth Stivers with another child on the steps of a house that was also seen in 00002798 3. Creek in an unknown location 4. Sarah Frances Pickens Stivers and a little girl in a horse and buggy 5. Two story inn located in Walden on Walden's Ridge in Tennessee; sign in front reads: "Cliffs." The inn was built ca. 1878; rebuilt in 1890, with additions in 1892 and 1902; it burned in 1904. The proprietor was Willoughby Adams. Photographs from a disassembled album, original order maintained. Contains local scenes and individuals as well as family trips showing Arthur G. Stivers, his wife Sarah Frances Pickens Stivers, older son Winthrop, younger son Frank, older daughter Bertha, and younger daughter Ruth, among others. The album consists of 42 sheets measuring 28 x 35 cm. (11 x 13 3/4 in.). Many images are silvering out.
