- Images are: 1. Bird's Mill located on the west side of Chickamauga Creek, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Philemon Bird purchased the mill in 1852 and enlarged it; it was demolished in 1922 2. Bridge over a river in an unknown location; three men in a boat also shown 3.Several people wading in the water by Bird's Mill 4. Wooded area in an unknown location. Photographs from a disassembled album, original order maintained. Contains local scenes and individuals as well as family trips showing Arthur G. Stivers, his wife Sarah Frances Pickens Stivers, older son Winthrop, younger son Frank, older daughter Bertha, and younger daughter Ruth, among others. The album consists of 42 sheets measuring 28 x 35 cm. (11 x 13 3/4 in.). Many images are silvering out.
