- Horse drawn streetcars of the first streetcar line in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Shows the car barn which was located on Market Street across from the Stanton House (now the location of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel/restaurant complex). The streetcar line operated as the Chattanooga Street Railway Company from 1876-1878. Name changed to Chattanooga Railway Company in 1878. The horse drawn cars were converted to electric car operations in 1887. Published in Chattanooga Yesterday and Today, vol. 1, p. 38. White splotches on photograph.
