- Two views of the Kentucky state monument, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park: 1. Color postcard showing Kentucky state monument erected in 1899. 2. White border postcard showing Kentucky state monument, erected 1899. The first national military park, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park was created by an Act of Congress in 1890 and dedicated in 1895. The majority of the park is located in Catoosa and Walker Counties, Georgia, but some sections are in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, while others are located in and around Chattanooga, Tennessee. Printed on postcard: "Kentucky State monument, Chickamauga Park, Chattanooga, Tenn." Photograph 0000503 is mounted on verso.
