- The Cliffs, a summer resort on the East Brow of Walden's Ridge, run by Mrs. E. Cecil Phillips of Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Originally built in 1890, it burned in 1904, was rebuilt and burned again. The property was purcahsed by Joe Anderson and used as a private residence until Mrs. Phillips purchased the house. In the mid-1940's, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hiener purchased the property and converted it to a resthome. It was destroyed by fire August 15, 1947. Photograph from one volume of eight scrapbooks compiled by E. Y. Chapin, Walter Cline, and Frank F. Stoops of the Chattanooga Half Century Club.
