  Unidentified young women in fancy dresses in front of the Ulysses S. Grant house, 110 E. 1st Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee. House was built late 1830s, and owners included Jane C. Henderson and Thomas J. Lattner. Sign on front reads: "Gen. U. S. Grant's Home 'Immortalized' The Heart of the Confederacy". Occasion unknown. Razed 1966.

Four men on far left identified L-R as: George Little (artist), Robert Kirk Walker (Mayor of Chattanooga), Lamar Baker (Congressman) and Albert Bowman (Historical Society President). Sign commemorates battle between upper Tennessee Valley men commanded by John Sevier and Native Americans supported by Pro-British factions. Site is located just below Ruby Falls, off Scenic Highway, Lookout Mountain.
