Upper station Lookout Mountain Incline No. 2 Upper station Lookout Mountain Incline No. 2 Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. The first Incline (No.1) was organized in 1885 and ceased operations in 1899. Incline No. 2 began operations 1895 and continues to operated today (as of 2008). Station burned 1919; later replaced. Boudoir card removed from Hist. C. Acc. 186, Whiteside Collection. Union Depot, Chattanooga, Tennessee Color photograph of Union Depot. On cornerstone is written "Built in 1858 Eugene LeHardy, Civil Engineer, John Lother, Master Mason." Cornerstone is part of original car shed for Western & Atlantic, Nashville and Chattanooga, and Memphis & Charleston Railroads. The original station for these 3 became a part of the passenger terminal built in 1881 known as Union Depot or Terminal. Building was demolished in 1973. Gift of Mrs. Thomas B. Hooker
