First Baptist Church, Golden Gateway Color postcard of architect's drawing of First Baptist Church at gateway address. Church was organized in 1852 and located at the corner of Wanut and 6th streets until 1888, when it moved to Georgia Avenue and Oak Street. The church moved to the Gateway area in 1968. Printed on front are church name and architect.

Organized in 1891, with the first building at Hickory and Bailey. Church moved to Orchard Knob and McCallie in 1922. Rededicated in 1956 after building burned that year. Interior, Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church Ceiling and crucifix, Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, located at 214 E. 8th Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 1888-present (as of 2005). Church was remodeled in 1939 and the twin towers were removed. This building replaced an earlier frame structure on "A" Street (now Lindsay Street). Mounted with and filed under 00000927.

Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church Postcard showing Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church located at 1607 W. 43rd Street (at corner of Alabama Avenue) in the St. Elmo area of Chattanooga, Tennessee from 1907-present (as of 2005). Named for Thankful Whiteside Johnson, wife of Colonel A. M. Johnson. Church merged with St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church in 1996. Postcard has undivided back. Grace Episcopal Church Grace Episcopal Church located at 20 Belvoir Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee from 1955-present (as of 2005). Church began as St. George's Mission in 1880 at 620 Cowart Street; later built Grace Memorial Episcopal Church at 19th and Cowart Streets. "Memorial" dropped from name ca. 1941. Moved to 1614 Kirby Avenue in Highland Park area of Chattanooga in 1907. Bought property and house at Brainerd Road and Belvoir Avenue in 1941 and used house as church until the sanctuary was built in 1955. Cloister, narthex, offices and parish house added 1960-1961.

Central Presbyterian Church Central Presbyterian Church organized in 1891. This building erected on the corner of McCallie Avenue and Orchard Knob in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1921. Originally known as Highland Park Presbyterian Church in 1905. Church was dissolved October 29, 2000 and building sold to Chattanooga Bible Institute. "Chattanoogans, Inc." stamp on verso.

Interior, Brainerd Presbyterian Church Interior, Brainerd Presbyterian Church, organized 1939 and located at 7 N. Tuxedo Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee. First building, Frank A. Nelson Hall, was built 1941; in 1955 new education rooms, offices and a sanctuary were added. The Family Life Center was added in 1979. Church was given to Friendship Community Church in 1994; Brainerd Presbyterian congregation met in various churches until it moved to 1624 Jenkins Road in 1998.
