Cravens House, Point Hotel and streetcar Robert Cravens (1805-1888) House, Point Hotel and streetcar, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Cravens House was built 1856, then rebuilt after the Civil War in 1867 and fully restored 1955-1957. Originally known as "Alta Vista," today the house is part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Point Hotel built 1886-1887; razed 1913-1914. The album consists of 42 sheets measuring 28 x 35 cm. (11 x 13 3/4 in.). Many images are silvering out.

Horses and buggies follow the streetcar, and a boy on his bicycle rides along side the parade. Published in Chattanooga Yesterday and Today, vol. 4, p. 33. Embossed photographer's stamp on bottom right corner reads:"Stokes-Forstner, Chattanooga, Tenn." Tears on photograph mended with tape.

Icebound streetcar on Lookout Mountain Ice bound Lookout Incline and Lula Lake Railway (L. I. & L. L. RY) streetcar on Lookout Mountain. The sign on the side of the streetcar reads "Natural Bridge. "Special Chair Car" sign on front center window and two conductors are with the streetcar. "Parlor car" written on front of photograph. "Chatta. Rwy & Light Co. 1911-1913 (circa), Parlor car #256. Had electric fans, center white carpet, red plush revolving chairs, a table in rear for card games or reading magazines. Could be chartered all over car system" in ink on verso. Car number is actually 250. Picture was published in the Chattanooga News-Free Press, July 11, 1937.

Car barn of the first streetcar line Horse drawn streetcars of the first streetcar line in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Shows the car barn which was located on Market Street across from the Stanton House (now the location of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel/restaurant complex). The streetcar line operated as the Chattanooga Street Railway Company from 1876-1878. Name changed to Chattanooga Railway Company in 1878.
